Hello everybody!

I am Johanna, 23years old and a student of English and Sports at the Philipps-University of Marburg. Originally, I am from Melsungen which is a quite small but lovely half-timbered town near Kassel.

Usually, I didn’t plan to study in Marburg but now I am happy that I landed here by accident. In my opinion, Marburg is a really nice town to enjoy an informal student life: there are many nice pubs where you can meet some friends or just sitting next to the river Lahn and enjoying a warm summer evening.
Unfortunately, Marburg hasn’t got a campus, but nevertheless you can reach every college within 15minutes. This is a very important factor especially for people like me who are studying teaching program and have to run between two or three different colleges, depending on the subjects they are studying.

In my free time I really enjoy to do sports e.g. go jogging, play tennis or do skiing in the winter. In addition, I like to meet some friends for having dinner or a coffee and keep us informed. But I also like to be on my own even though I won’t call me a “lone wolf”. I sometimes just need some time for myself, listen to music, read something or just hang around . . .
